Have you ever thought of seeing a rainbow mountain in the middle of the Andes? Nature was very kind for giving the region of Cusco the most beautiful landscapes in the world, like Vinicunca. This incredible mountain is also known as "seven colors mountain", "cerro colorado" and "Rainbow Mountain" in English.

The impressive Vinicunca mountain, presents this rainbow hue because of the sedimentary stones erosion, found in their natural form. It has always been compared with a terrestrial rainbow, that is why its name. Located within the Vilcanota mountain range, Vinicunca is located from 4,710 to 5,200 meters above sea level.

If you live in Cusco or you are just in passing, visiting Vinicunca mountain will undoubtedly be one of the greatest experiences you can enjoy.

ITINERARY

 
DAY 1: CUSCO - CHECACUPE - PITUMARCA- QUECHUYNO / PAMPACHIR:
Our tour starts in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco to make the trip to Qollasuyo / Pampachiri, from the beginning we will travel for 3 to 4 hours by transport, first we will go through the town of Checacupe, and then continue through Pitumarka, and then we will arrive at Quechuyno / Pampachiri, where we will begin the trek, we will begin our trek at the foot of the Ausangate snow-covered mountain, an ascent of approximately 3 hours to the highest point of the Cerro Colorado.

Afterwards, we will continue with our 3 hour descent walk and parts of the trekking plan (Quechuyno / Pampachiri), then we will go by car to Pitumarka where we will have lunch, finally we will return to Cusco.
