To the south of Cusco, there is a place known as “El Valle Sur”. It was very important for the Inca Empire development; It is the perfect route for people who are looking for an experience with archaeological places and magnificent landscapes, without too much company and in a short period of time. This trip is known because it combines natural landscapes: Inca architecture in Tipón and pre-Inca Wari architecture in Pikillacta. Also, you will visit Andahuaylillas town, which has as the main attraction its beautiful Church, known as “The Sistine Chapel of America", without forgetting the tasty cuisine from Saylla, Huasao with its speciality "Cuy al horno" and "Chicharrones de Cerdo"..

ITINERARY

We will start the tour from very early, leaving from your hotel in a private mobility to go to the South.

Beginning we will arrive at TIPON, where you will be able to observe a large cultivation space, whose walls were built with finely carved stones.

Following our tour we will go to PIKILLAQTA, a large urban center corresponding to the time of development of the Wari Empire with more than a thousand constructions.

And we will finish with ANDAHUAYLILLAS, an Andean village of the time of the colony of singular origin and architecture. The Sistine Chapel of Cusco stands out in Andahuaylillas.

On the way back we will go through Saylla, a typical Cusco town where you can enjoy the delicious pork rinds (optional).
